RE: @buildawhale will no longer take bids for dmania

Hah I find it funny how people who run vote selling bots talk about the future of Steem. Millions of Steem Power is locked up in voting bots and they are basically money printing machines for their creators and everyone who delegates to them.

That Steem Power should be used for curation and not for selling.
How many new users have those services brought to Steem? None...
How do they help Steem grow? They don't....
They are one of the biggest problems Steem has at the moment and nobody even sees it...

You ban only dMania and no meme authors on Steemit or decentmemes.
Kinda suspicious. Always so much hate for dMania. dMania will continue and grow no matter how many haters are out there trying to stop it!

I believe that incredibly misguided thinking such as this is one of the biggest problems Steem has at the moment.

I personally have brought quite a few investors into the Steem platform who have invested over one hundred thousand dollars (and hopefully a lot more in the near future) specifically for the opportunity of investing their Steem into a voting a bot.

Additionally, voting bots provide a very valuable service to authors. I know because they are what gave me the start i needed on the platform. If it wasn't for voting bots I probably would not be here right now.

Voting bots provide a valuable service to users and actively attract investors to the platform (I'm literally meeting with a crypto fund this evening to present this opportunity). Find me anything else on here that can claim that!

Please look a little more carefully next time before claiming that content promotion services don't bring new users to Steem or help Steem grow, because in reality they do a great job of both of those things!

I did it because the amount of effort to create a meme is relatively low and there a crap ton of users making 5 memes a day and submitting bids for 5 SBD or more across many bots getting hundreds of dollars a day per account. Many of these users have tons of accounts doing this.

If they make a great meme, the community can reward it, I just don't think buying votes for it is good.

I have no hate for dMania, I just don't like seeing 50+ users a day buying upvotes for 5 posts a day that probably took them 5 minutes to make all of them, then doing it on 4-5 other accounts.

you give a good point, it possibel that one person makes 5 memes and then make it again on other accounts.

You ban only dMania and no meme authors on Steemit or decentmemes.

Did you even check anything before submitting that statement? His post before this one literally bans some users from using the buying of votes and @themarkymark has done a lot in the past to prevent abuse of it with manual curation which I wish others running vote selling services would do as well.

I voted this post up cause I believe it's a right direction in preventing people from buying votes for low effort copy-pasted "memes" which you yourself are encouraging due to the way your random voting bot curates.

I don't have anything against him banning users who use voting bots for the decentmemes tag either, there just isn't any incentive for them to use voting bots on those posts because there isn't a bot waiting to vote them up with delegation if they are on trending/hot list.

Hey @zombee ,
is there any way to get in touch with you? Have a short question about delegation SP to dmania (Seems like i cant get them back when i enter 0 SP)
