This is such an amazing post to cheer me up in the morning! I love the work in progress. How a pile of dirt with plastic tarps and all can transform into a cozy hobbit-house. And the windows are always a huge jump forward! The other thing I love is to see that you don't necessarily need fancy frames that meet EU directives and all, just to attach a glass panel. This way you don't need to worry about that single-pane window either. Eventually you'll find a double (or tripple) pane to replace it with, and that won't be a huge undertaking either, given that it's an earthen home. Now I can't wait to see the dirt plaster finish.
Glad to cheer you up! Yeah that's one of the perks and beauties of natural building, everything can be adapted and it's always evolving, a living house.
Hope to share more soon, social life always finds ways to distract me when I'm most focused haha
