From https://www.rojodojo.com I am jet lagged from my trip to Japan last week so I wake up before sunrise to make this video. In the video above I explain how Hatsumi Sensei gave us some important messages for the future of the Bujinkan. He said next year will be a new Bujinkan. Soke also awarded me a Dai Shihan.
He said that Takamatsu Sensei had awarded him the Togakure Ryu in 1958. And he didn't feel ready. I also don't feel ready.
Senou Sensei helped in the ceremony to award me the Daishihan. Soke said there is a right time for these things. Soke said that ranks or awards come from Kami sama.
Who is doing Hatsumi Sensei’s Budo? Some teachers do Noguchi Sensei style, some Someya, some do Nagato style, some Ishizuka. But very few are doing Hatsumi Sensei’s budo or even understand it. For the future we must protect his budo. The Daishihan must protect the Bujinkan for the future.
Hatsumi Sensei said he is creating the Dai Shihan to build a community and that we should all work together and be friends.
