@kus-knee, that's a beautiful story... I love these kinds of "victory for the underdog" tales, and I admire your dad's gritty persistence!
My dear wife is (selectively) a hard headed stickler... just a couple of weeks ago, she took on AT&T and "won" at the end of five hours on the phone with about 17 different people. The problem being that we have almost no service where we live, even though AT&T insists we have 4G service... so she went off on the whole "we're paying for a service you're failing to provide" tirade, in response to which she was told that our existing phones were "too old." But instead falling for their sales pitch for new phones, the managed to... ermmm... persuade her way to two brand new Samsung Galaxy J3s... at no charge, no shipping, no activation fee, no increase to our monthly bill.
Perhaps half the people at that call center needed therapy at the end of that session. OK... slight exaggeration, but I do think she would have made an excellent prosecutor!
Wow, I seem to remember once reading a book called "The Art of Effective Complaining." Perhaps your wife read it or even wrote it! :)
I don't know... but when she sets her mind on something, she's definitely like "a dog with a bone!"
