What you did is great, not only it was generous of you to encourage this young man but also you acted outside the conventional ways of doing things. Sometimes we are almost enslaved by our habits and selfishness. What you did was also an expression of freedom from your side. Free from acting following your self-interests and free to choose to improve the lives of people around you, something true leaders should do
