Packet.com becomes one of the most expensive domain name in 2018. The domain name is now the home of a Cloud & Edge Computing Infrastructure Provider, previously used Packet.net domain. The seller of the domain is Braden Pollock, one of notable domain investors who owns about 13,000 domain names.
After long negotiation, Braden agreed to sell Packet.com for $350,000 to the company.
If you still confuse with Packet.com services, think of it as an alternative to AWS, Amazon Cloud Services. In fact, they already raised $25 million Series B round from group of investors like DELL and SoftBank.
And if you search for keyword "Packet" on Google, Packet.com will appear as the 1st of search results. Which means, this expensive domain already work for itself.
