I would like to add 2 more points about networking at events.
- Usually, high-tier individuals go to events for the networking part not for the presentations themselves. You can find and meet the best people outside when the presentation are running.
- Be selective and plan ahead. Look at the people going to the event and prepare yourself for meeting them. You'll make a great first impression
I'm not too okay with being selective. Being selective could make a person miss out on a mouth-watering deal.
I think we both might be right. It comes down to the goal you have in mind when going to that event :)
I love a person who disagrees with me! That's when you can start seeing other points of view and really broaden your perspective about the subject! Thanks
