RE: Giving Back to Steemit - Giving Away Two Hours Free Business Coaching

in #business7 years ago

Hi Susanne,

I start this comment with a little trepidation... you see, I'm worried that your misguided love of avos might extend to the advice you'll give me, but I'm open-minded enough to hear you out. :P

OK, I hope you know I was kidding about the avos, but I'm dead serious about getting your input on an idea I have, that I would like to implement in the coming months.

My need for advice:
I've got a (South African) YouTube community that are very close and we help each other out a lot on FB & YouTube. Some of us are well established on those channels, others are only starting out. However, my goal is to get all of them to move over to Steemit and switch their main focus from being "YouTubers" to becoming "DTubers".

In short:
I want to start a "DTube incubation programme", aimed specifically at new Steemians/DTubers. My problem is that I am new to the channel myself, and all the "strategies, tips & tricks" that typically work on other channels don't seem to apply here, so I am not really in a position to be offering any advice to other DTubers that are starting out.

Some key questions that I could use your advice on:

  • UpVote-Bot (Is this the best way to send love to new DTubers?)
  • Can the bot become self-sustainable to pay for the SP leasing required?
  • Switching to DTube completely vs double-posting on existing YouTube & DTube channels?
  • ... some easier questions that I've already answered myself, and just need to fact-check with you, and many more questions I haven't even thought of yet.

If you do pick me, then I'll make sure I prep for our meeting properly beforehand. Right now though, we just have a little group where we share experiences (both those that worked, and those that didn't) and the incubator idea is just something brewing in the back of my head until such time as I'm more experienced on Steemit myself and can offer legit advice.

Thanks for the awesome initiative, and I hope to be hearing from you.
