Anatomy of an Entrepreneur
About a year ago today, I birthed a dream to own one of the biggest clothing brands in the country. So I started in my school, where I'm reading to become lawyer.
And in one year, I've swept the whole campus with my products "Double breasted waistcoats " and I see this not as an achievement but as a springboard to greater heights in the future but this is not my aim in this post. There are principles which I paid attention to and they've helped me over time.
Our intention here is to show how differently the body parts of an entrepreneur works from every other person. In my previous post How to sell anything (an entrepreneur's guide) I was able to distinguish between a businessman and an entrepreneur, so this is well settled now.
What then are the body parts of the entrepreneur?
The Brain
This is where everything starts from. This is the pool of ideas from where the business begins. The entrepreneur is a thinker. He brainstorms and develops ideas.
He then think up plans that would bring those ideas into life.
The entrepreneur is always thinking of ways to develop his business, his brain seldom rests. He gets very little sleep, why? He's awake, awake thinking.
The Eyes.
An entrepreneur's eyes are sharp and always looking for potential investors and opportunities. An entrepreneur sees what others don't. Where others see a problem, an entrepreneur sees an opportunity.
When others say "why" the entrepreneur says "why not ".
The entrepreneurs(called "ent" hereafter) eyesight is keen . He studies his environment, he knows the needs of people, his customers. He also uses his eyes to maintain good eye contact which is a powerful tool in communication .
The Mouth
This is perhaps the entrepreneur's most sensitive part. With the mouth, the ent communicates his vision to his friends and colleagues. However, he knows when to remain silent, he knows how to keep secrets, he doesn't talk anyhow, he doesn't talk too much.
Instead of discussing people, the ent discusses huge ideas. With the mouth, the ent tries to convince potential investors and business partners.
The ent is very good at public speaking too.
The Ears
This Part is even more important than the mouth. Someone said
"Your ears can never put you into trouble"
With them, the ent listens out for customer feedback. His ears are always on the ground. More so, the ent has perfect listening skills, he pays attention when People speak to him. He listens to all types of ideas regardless of whom they're coming from.
Nothing can match the power of a genuine customer testimony.
Also the ent listens to all his customers have to say. By so doing, he shows them that he is genuinely interested in them.
The Heart
The heart of the ent is full of passion.
That is why he sleeps very late at night. The passion moves him. When he looks into the future and sees where his business is headed, he is motivated and consequently works very hard.
The Stomach.
Yes, apart from digestion the stomach provides the ent with a gut feeling. It is the gut feeling that tells him this is an opportunity where other people see a problem. It is the gut feeling that makes him trust his instincts and take very dangerous risks. An entrepreneur should learn his to listen to his gut feeling and trust his instincts.
The Legs
The ends legs are strong and tough. He is always on the go. He never stays in a place. An entrepreneur knows that you may find very little opportunity in a place alone so he is almost always on the go.
He keeps pushing. Either he is going to deliver a customers products to them or he is going for a business meeting.
The ent is never satisfied.
The feet
The feet dreams high but sticks to the ground .
The ent does not allow his plans get in the way of his goals. When he notices that a particular strategy isn't working, he quickly changes course. An ents feet will take him to places he never imagined he would go.

With the brain, the future is secured and with the eyes you take hold of your physical environment.

Thanks a lot bro
I have had a clothing innovation for naija that would make millions everytime. I had it since 2010. And till date it is not existence. If you read my last post, all my posts, i put underlying info for a particular audience and for only them to grasp.
@surpassinggoogle, me thinks that you should revisit the idea. You know in your last post you said something about dreams before steemit and how it could be incorporated in the platform.
i dropped mine though. But at this point, this is where the mentor need to be mentored. Due to the remoteness of time and space you have, i will advice that you sell someone the idea, which in turn you will have to oversea the activities.
You could use the audience you have on steemit for its marketing and trust me, it will be a trend. I have understood lately that true leadership is hinge of trust and delegation of duties. One cannot execute all brilliant ideas without the help of another.
I hope this was helpful. Keep steeming.
Yes, i have not been afraid of losing ideas but some ideas can't be sold, except i have a clone. Some, i like a certain vision and mindset because for some ideas, they are can cause chaos in the hands of the wrong person. When it comes to ideas, i let go, there is no bad or good. Even from the bad, i sift to look for the good. For instance, i will tell a brother to stop sucking on the most dangerous butt on earth but ofcourse i understand to do that is hard and adults can do their decisions, so i do some sifting instead in my overall thinking, then i may think, how about increasing length of this stick and making it harder to suck on or puff out off, perhaps it will reduce intake of the harmful stuff. So what if we made that same one cigarette stick, a lil longer, and perhaps a little more compact so that, you spend 30 mins on the same one stick etc. So for some ideas, you cant just part with these except to the right person cos you have to care for humanity. one can build an empire on ads. for instance, insurance companies pay like 50 usd for one click on their ads serve by google, this sole knowledge can create millions. you will notice that i have given two ideas here for free and i have given out a tone of ideas out encrypted into my posts, served specifically for a type of audience that will find it or come to the chats to pick it, with the frontal message of the post being generic. Over the years, i knew of the selling thing. the idea i mentioned was to go that path but i needed someone with my vision, so that it is carried really far. Mentality is key, for me even keyer than literacy. You make a quick buck and the idea dies forever. And that particular idea, if you dont run it well, you will only make a quick buck. So i had to pace this one and wait. The person i took it to, is currently in usa and at the time, he also mostly saw a quick buck, plus he wanted something that was already in motion. So i held on to it.
Recently, before steemit i wanted to implement it but i got busy again, so it will run someday. As for the audience on steemit, you will read something in my post today. My posts from day one has been innovation ideas kept alive within my posts in dream-bits, rehearsing into fruition with unadulterated feedback from the steemit community. my first two partnership happened when i was a minnow. nothing in my wallet. second one was from a ceo who is a steemian. a chat, read my whitepaper give me feedback and i got a role. no books involved. I spoke hours today about delegation of duty. it took hours just to enlist what i do each day and you will be shocked. many are tough stuff, top-decision making every minute, and many of these things need ripe ears, cos you have to care about the other party else dispensed info does unintended purpose. some things are only spoken in chat and to the right audience. Plus on steemit, i have done a ton of stuff with a ton of steemians. a ton! Overall on steemit, i pace things. i dont jump queues.

This would make another post entirely. However, this was the summation of your talk;
I get the picture exactly. The big picture. And the fear might be that the other person just sees the short term and thinks not ahead.
It is a tough one on your part. One that requires trust and someone with the same mindset with yours to set the mind of the business.
There is always a way, always.
We will look for ways to run it
Sure.
Wow. You're never in want of ideas. And what I think is every great idea deserves to see the light of day.
@gunneresq has said it all already. 2010 is a long time ago and I believe if that clothing idea was birthed, it may have gone pretty far.
I would love to hear the idea. Thanks!
I'm still available to make the clothing deal happen. We could still make that millions :)
Hey fast boy @greenrun slow down a bit 😉

Wow, this is original. I've not seen someone explain entrepreneurship like that before. Having been in business for the past 15 years, I can totally relate to your points.
Great observation, and great sharing. Keep it up!
Wow, I'm not ungrateful that you could stop by
Are you serious. I have always known entrepreneurs were a curious set of people, keen, disciplined and purpose driven. I never really saw them the way you just described them, with all the body part unique functionalities. This was a really good read. It was inspiring too, keep it up @buterdaniel
Thanks a lot sir. This means a lot
Super inspirational @butlerdaniel, thank you! Love the breakdown an entrepreneur by our body.
To drive success, everything in a entrepreneur's tool kit needs to be aligned. #LetsDoThis #HumansOfAwesomeness
Thank you for this
Beautifully explained @buterdaniel. Being and entrepreneur requires a lot of self confidence and commitment. At times, situations might be discouraging. But with tenacity, the outcome calls for celebrations. @greatness96
I'm glad you loved the read!
