Hi All,
While we all slowly gravitate into the Digital Age, I decided to put down some thoughts on where current Information Risk Management practices should focus their efforts.
1. Cyber & Cloud Security:-
- Cybersecurity risks is a key concern to any business that values its Intellectual Property (IP) and Customer Data.
- Utilisation of Cloud or Hybrid Infrastructure platforms introduce new kinds of risks to information assets.
2. Blockchain:-
- The adoption of DLT (Decentralised Ledger Technology) is growing fast as businesses seek opportunities for faster and secure transactions and efficient supply chain processes.
- Development and deployment of Decentralised Applications on top of the Blockchain infrastructure introduces new types of vulnerabilities and risks.
3. Internet of Things (IoT):-
- Businesses are increasingly using Internet of Things (IoT) to connect the physical world to the Internet so that they can use data from devices to increase productivity and efficiency.
- The development and implementation of IoT Applications introduce new types of vulnerabilities and risk exposures.
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI):-
- Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence are here to stay and will help to shape the future of many businesses.
- The introduction of this new technologies will require a re-focus on Risk Management, IT Governance, how we identify threats, detect vulnerabilities, measure and quantify risk exposures and business impact.
Would appreciate your contributions, comments and insights - Thank You !
