Apple makes good products (usually). They however, are one of my least favorite corporations. Mainly because of their increasing trend towards closing as many doors as they can and pushing to more and more proprietary so that the only way you can get anything for Apple products is from Apple. This trend is happening in a lot more places than just headphones.
I am a game developer. I was planning on releasing my game on Windows, Linux, and Mac. Some things Apple has done recently have made me think it may not be a good idea for me to release my games on Mac.
For example: Were you aware that some titles that previously worked on Mac and use OpenGL no longer work on Macs due to them removing some of the functionality. Furthermore, rather than embracing Vulcan like the rest of the world they are pushing people to use their proprietary Metal protocol/API. As a developer my title would have used OpenGL on the Mac and it would probably work NOW. My concern is that they can arbitrarily decide to remove functionality and I tell my customers I am selling them a Mac game. Suddenly, I have a game that no longer works due to Apple stripping functionality. That is not a risk I can afford to take.
