...BE LIKE BLIND BARTIMAEUS (Business Lessons)
Lol! Funny title, right? Don't run off yet...you'd love this.
Just put on your imagination with me. In the story I am going to share with you, see yourself and your business as "Blind Bartimaeus" and "Jesus" as your ideal client.
Let's roll!
When Bartimaeus (You) heard that Jesus (Ideal Client) from Nazareth was near, he began to SHOUT OUT, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
“Shut up!” some of the people yelled at him. But he only SHOUTED THE LOUDER, AGAIN AND AGAIN, “O Son of David, have mercy on me!”
When Jesus HEARD him, he stopped there in the road and said, “Tell him to come here.”
So they called the blind man. “You lucky fellow,” they said, “come on, he’s calling you!”
Bartimaeus yanked off his old coat and flung it aside, jumped up and came to Jesus.
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “O Teacher,” the blind man said, “I want to see!”
And Jesus said to him, “All right, it’s done. Your faith has healed you.” And instantly the blind man could see and followed Jesus down the road!
BUSINESS LESSONS:
- Know Your Ideal Client:
If you are going to make it big in your business, you have to be clear on who needs you and who you need. You have not been called to serve everybody.
Blind Bartimaeus knew exactly who had what he needed. He was clear on his ideal client. He didn't jump at anybody. - Keep Your Ears Open:
Great! You've now identified your ideal client. You now know who you've been called to serve. You've now identified who has what your business needs.
The next step is to keep your ears open, so you can discern when your ideal client is around the corner.
Listen to the conversation of those around them. Understand their pain point to know if your offer can solve that pain.
Listen! Listen!! and Listen some more. - Shout Out:
This is the most critical step! You have to become a NOISEMAKER. Your ideal client won't just come to you especially if they have other options calling for their attention.
You have to shout out strategically. The reason why your competitor's products are selling more than your own products even if your products are way better is that they have refuses to stop shouting out the praise of their brands both online on Social Media and offline.
I can teach you how to shout out strategically to attract your ideal client. Just DM me privately after now. - Be Consistent & Committed:
This is where many people miss it! They give up too easily.
Success is a function of commitment and consistent. Great things take time.
You have to keep SHOUTING even when people (friends, family or colleagues) around you are trying to drown your voice. - Don't Confuse Your Ideal Client:
This is step comes first and last. Why?
Because you can't attract your ideal client if you are not yet clear on your value offering.
What most people don't realise is that the key to customer attraction is wrapped in one word 'REMEMBER'.
People don't buy from the best, people buy from who they REMEMBER is the best. So you can be offering a better product but people will keep going to your competition because she/he (Your competition) has stamped the memory of her/his product in their minds.
One way to attract and keep your ideal client is to FOCUS ON ONE THING.
A lot of people feel that by doing so many things they'll attract more customers when in actuality they are just confusing them.
The human mind is fragile, when you're a makeup artist today and event planer tomorrow potential customers will not remember you for any of your services because their mind has not processed your identity in their memory. So when they eventually need a service you offer, they won't remember that you offer it.
