Many think that what differentiates the rich from the poor is that the rich simply have more money. But that's indeed very wrong. As What actually separates this two groups of people is actually their mentality. Having more or less money is simply one of the consequences of their mentality.

Having the wrong mentality is the worst thing that can happen to someone, it doesn't only make you poor but it as well makes your life miserable.
Please don't misquote me when I use the word poor, because I'm not referring to those with little or no money, but to those with the wrong mentality.
So literally speaking a man may think he's rich just because he have a lot of money in his bank account but in the real sense he's been rated as poor. And whereas a man who is considered to be poor simply because he have no money can turn out to be the one who's actually rich.
So now how do we know who's really poor?
Poor people always focus on the wrong side of the story.
No path ever seems right to them. Offer them something for free and they'll think it's a trap. Tell them to set up a small business that requires less capital, they will say they can't earn much from it. Ok tell them to make a big investment then, they will say that they don't have enough money.
Tell them to try a new thing, and they'll say that they don't have the experience. Tell them it's a traditional business and they will say it's too difficult to run and that the competition is too strong. Tell them it's a new business model then, they'll say it's a scam!
Ok! Tell them to run a shop at least, they'll say that they will have to work 24/7 and that they won't have any freedom.
But they all have some things in common.
They love asking Google how to get rich fast.
Well there isn't a problem with that, if only they are willing to do something online like, starting a blogging career, becoming an affiliate marketer, running a YouTube channel or even starting a fun career in wonderful platform like steemit and earn for doing almost nothing.
But that's not it! they are not willing to do anything. They are rather looking for ways to make quick money for free without any work or investment.
But do such a things exist? I don't think so! Because I was once like that. Before deciding to settle as an Adsense and affiliate blogger and finally a Steemit blogger, I use to surf the web looking for free money, but i didn't find any. Well if you're like that I'll advice you forget about that and find something else doing, preferably focus on Steemit and you'll thank me later for the advice🤔.
They want to see others fail.

The rich are selfless in their actions and love to help others achieve success. But the poor gets angry when they see someone making it, they are selfish and don't want to see someone else's success apart. So instead of thinking of ideas that will make them successful, they will rather waste the time gossiping.
If you find yourself in this category I'll advice you change for the betterment. There's a saying that
You can't drag a goat to the market without entering the market as well.
The same applies for success and failure as you can't make someone fail without failing.
The poor don't set goals.
The rich knows what they want, they set goals and lay plans to achieve their goals. But the poor don't. instead they fantasize, dream big of what their future should be like but they have no plan(s) to make it come true.
They do have great ideas, they think more than a university lecturer but do less than a blind man.
They focus on input instead of output.

Poor people tend to stress their self out over a simple task that would have be completed with no stress over a short period of time if being done with the right strategy.
A poor man will think that they deserve a higher pay just because they have the over 10 years to attain the highest degree, and best grade from the best university. And because they spent they spent their whole day working on a task that was assigned to them. But in a true sense they are only workaholics who use up the time of the day.
Now tell me. Will you buy my product just because I spent two years producing it? Will you use upvote my post just because I spent a week creating it? Will you patronize me just now I've been in the business for years? Of course not! You'll only patronize my stuff's if you find some quality in it.
Disclaimer: This post is personal opinion on this topic. To clarify a point, I repeat as initially stated initially in the context of this post. That this post isn't targeted at those who have less or no money, but to those with the wrong mentality, to help them change. By reading this you acknowledge that my post can only be a reference for your further research and growth. Thanks for reading👍♨️.
I couldn't agree more - I've known lots of poor people - they have nicer things than I do .. they like to get tattoos, buy expensive car rims, and collect iphones. They dress much nicer than I do - for when they get a little change in their hand they go shopping for 'things' - their mentality does not account for the future or for investing ways that return their money. Usually when poor people come to me asking for money - they have a cigarette in one hand and an Iphone in the other. I always hear them say things like " I can't afford to save money - I can't afford to invest " then they spend their money on depreciating assets like fast food , designer shoes, and sports memorabilia - lots and lots of sports memorabilia - they go to sporting events, concerts and stand in line all night to get into a toy store on Black Friday so they can spend even more of their money on cheap imported electronics. I've spent enough time around people to know that they are where they are because of the decisions they make and how they choose to spend the money the come across - being "poor" is 100% state of mind - my wife and went from being broke, bankrupt, and foreclosed on ( after a really bad business venture) on to owning rental property in less than 3 years. We saved every penny - we ate at home - we didn't go see movies - and during that time -we actually put up some other "poor people" till they could get back on their feet too... I attribute all of it to making the right financial choices and having the right mindset.
We never say " we can't afford that" - instead we ask "HOW can we afford this?" Then we work towards that. When I first got to Fresno - I had 1 chair, 1 computer , and 1 TV set plus my dog and my car - I had nothing else. SInce then I've bought and sold several multifamily properties , collected thousands of dollars of rental income and continue to build up my portfolio with income producing properties and other investments. All of it is about STATE OF MIND.
Nice reply... I have a feeling you're going to love stumbling upon my posts... I also have rental properties, but that's not what my posts are about... My posts are more about paying off the Debt... And what to bring along with you to the other side of the Reset...
You're absolutely right @jorlauski! Nice point noted, that poor people are poor because they only make the wrong financial choices with the wrong mindset. From your story above I can say that you weren't poor because you never limited yourself. As you can only be when you accept it.
I haven't said it in a while because my focus has shifted from finances to family .. but I used to always say " I'm already a millionaire.. the money just isn't in my bank account yet"
This is so well written @edywill. I'm taking it that you've read the book called "rich dad poor day" by Robert Kiyosaki??
Lolzz not actually I haven't read that, but I won't claim that 100% of the ideas here are all mine. 60% of this post is a product of variety of sources like about 2-blogs, approximately 3-YouTube videos and a little of my idea compiled to deliver the best for my followers and the steemit community as a whole. Anyway @kofibeatz it seems like you love reading and you've read a lot of books. That's great as one has to keep learning in other to stay alive
And I'll love to read that book also, I'll try searching for the PDF if it exists I'll love to know more. Thanks for stoping by☺️.

Enjoy brother. This one is going to be hard to put down stunner..
Brilliant article @edywill I enjoy reading the contents. Thanks for the motivational writing. It is hard to make some of them to change and improve their life style when people being in a comfort zone. Your statement about people being jealous is absolutely true. Competing againts each other toward improvement I think thats a good thing but to make their competitor fails that will limiting the inovation ... cheers
You're welcome @ dylen, thanks for your contribution.
I think a lot has to do with willpower, and a positive attitude towards your future, I like your blog 😊
Well I'll suggest you stop thinking and clarify your doubts because you're absolutely right. Because we can't see our future the way they are but we see it the way we are. So we really need to cultivate a positive attitude for our future to appear positive too. Anyway thanks for passing by☺️.
You are very welcome, and thank you for your positive approach 🙏

I flunk to the bottom of the pit and then when you realize there is only one path and that is up but you need to change the way you think about it. If you think about work you will fail but if you think about the adventure ahead you will succeed

COIN MAN by @pocketechange ...A penny may cost a dollar...
That is so true. You'll often hear some unemployed people lamenting that there are not enough jobs available out there for them. Now, if they can't get any job, why they can't just create one for themselves. But like you said, people with poor mentality think its too difficult or even impossible. I mean if it was that difficult, no one would ever start a company, and no one would be there to give you a job anyway.
