Overcoming Setbacks in Business
Encountering obstacles is one thing we all have in common.
What sets us apart, however, is how we deal with obstacles. - The mindset we apply in dealing with these obstacles.
Some people allow obstacles to set them back completely;
others have learned to jump the hurdles while running.
Now, those who learn from obstacles they face in their business activities are those who decide to go into the business with the right mindset.
And those who do business for the love they have for it
The majority of obstacles can be avoided.
They are the result of unmanaged emotions, ingrained habits and habitual mistakes we make with other people.
Unattended, these obstacles become emotional thieves that we allow into our lives.
They steal our focus, sap our mental energy and, sometimes, thwart our most important initiatives.
What can we do to close the door on these obstacles so we can capitalize on our opportunities to succeed?
To overcome business setbacks as entrepreneurs, we must be ready for key transition to happen in your business.
You are your business and your business is you.
Your attitude towards issues relating to your business is the outcome and results you get eventually from your business activities.
The passion we display about our business is actually the view people who we expect to patronize us will see.
Mistakes we make with people goes on to be a bigger obstacle to our business growth.
Now the next question is "How ready are you to see your business grow from one level to another?
We must be willing to move out of our comfort zone and think smartly!!!
How prepared are we internally to face and tackle business challenges is highly tied to how much love we have made up our mind towards facing these challenges.
How much are we ready to build a strong team, very resourceful people around us? What we can make out of people who work with us is again depended on who we are, how we have decided to handle our business activities.
Love your business as yourself-
when we love ourselves, no one can actually truly hate us, in the same vain no one will turn around to hate the business you have loved passionately
Have we noticed that people are attracted more to our business based on the passion we apply to It?
Be infectious in the way you carry your business around- this you have to decide on it- which means you make up your mind to do it in that infectious manner.
It's a thing of the mind - what mind do you have for your business - that determines how far you can go in handling the challenges we encounter and learn heavily from those challenges
To conclude we look at three basic points of how to overcome setbacks in business
In order not to bore us with long write ups here, we just consider below few ways or strategies that can help us overcome business setbacks:
1.Listen to your gut when it comes to people.
We all have a built-in instinct that tells us when we are about to make a mistake involving people. But we often choose not to heed that signal. Research shows that one in four startups fail. One of the major causes is managerial incompetence.
Choosing the right people, especially the right co-founder, is crucial. Some entrepreneurs end up picking a co-founder based on friendship, on having been like-minded buddies working together in the past. In the excitement of starting a new venture, you may ignore the feeling in your gut that tells you the person you are about to pick does not have the managerial competence for this next step. They may lack execution skills, or they may be weak on strategic thinking. Instead of bolstering your weaknesses, they compound them. Don't let this be an obstacle to your success.
2. Make frugality a company value
"Living too high for the business" is another cause for failure. That's one obstacle you can easily avoid. It's not uncommon to witness a startup that gets some funding and begins to spend like a fortune 500 company. Keeping the small company mentality is good advice, not only for startups but for any company.
3. Know the perils of emotional pricing
One of the challenges small-business owners often face is having the right pricing strategies for their products and services. Sometimes, our emotions dictate the price we charge. For example, we may fear we will lose the sale and start charging too little, thereby continually lowering our profit margin. This can create insurmountable obstacles down the road.

Thanks to @steemcaster for being my mentor on business issues
Believe in yourself, it is your business and your dream not another person's. You just got to believe in you guts.
In business don't negotiate when you are hungry because if you do every amounts seems right. And also don't jump into any offer given to you because that reeks of desperation.
Great post
This appeals to me
I've been having an issue with creating posts lately and this just speaks to me. The truth is I've been lazy. Time to get out of self-pity and start working smart
