While traders are the very definition of entrepreneurs, we can easily be lumped into the category of being selfish. We buy and sell the value of assets only. Contributing nothing tangible to society in terms of intellect or infrastructure.
This blog post will expand on the idea of entrepreneurship beyond simply trading and hopefully inspire some of you to branch out further than just the realm of trading.
We all have ideas. Lets create something.
1. Spawn your Idea
Everyone has something to give.
An idea.
A concept or project that they want to release into the world.
Something that will solve a problem or make a positive change in real people's lives.
It doesn't matter what it is, but it is near to you and your heart. You enjoy what it brings and want to share bringing it to other people as a result.
It will grow from you. Expand outward into the world like a fish sending spawn out into the ocean. Consuming time and space as it rolls outward.
This is yours.
2. Take Control of Your Project
Nobody else is going to make your vision a reality until you make it one. Take what you see inside your head and get to work.
At this stage, nothing is going to happen unless you make it happen. Being an entrepreneur isn't just about not working for the man.
To bring your project to life. To be a success! You have to make it a success.
Nobody else. Just you.
Slog your absolute guts out to bring your project from a humble idea to a full blown working concept that people not only want to get on board with, but want to take forward with them too.
3. Annoy People with Your Vision
Your vision shouldn't just be a crappy corporate mission statement that is written in serif font and tucked away in the back of a corporate manual that nobody wants to bother ever flicking through.
You've left the corporate life to actually do something real. To make real change not only in your life but to try to change something meaningful in the world around you too.
Don't just set and forget why you're doing what you're doing and where you are headed. Annoy the living shit out of the people around you. Whether it be your team, current clients or prospective clients, repeat your vision to anyone that will listen until you know you don't have to say it anymore.
But then say it again anyway!
When your team is finishing the same sentence for you and it rolls off their tongue as well as it rolls off yours, then you know that you're starting to build a lasting legacy.
4. Leave Your Legacy
By repeating and building on your vision, you are passing it on. It is not intended to be your baby spawn forever, it has to grow a life of it's own that other people can catch and expand on.
Don't think that because it is growing out of your control that this is a bad thing. This is what you wanted when you started. To change something meaningful.
By the simple fact that it is growing beyond your control, you have left a lasting legacy.
Don't ever be afraid of losing control. Be afraid of never having the control to lose. It allowed you to build something meaningful and leave a legacy that is bigger than just your mortal life.
The dream will carry on.
What will your legacy be?
Peace.

I guess the hours of market research and concept validation isn't as glamorous to mention? Lol annoy people all you want, if the market doesn't want it then you need to pivot!
How about you do the bits I missed and link this article? :)
Inspiringly. However it isn't for everyone. To do such things person should have certain mindset and character, сharisma and of course discipline.

Loving the enthusiasm and some good advice there, BUT Second para, line two... Expire or Inspire ?
"This blog post will expand on the idea of entrepreneurship beyond simply trading and hopefully expire some of you to branch out further than just the realm of trading."
Just a heads up.
Nice inspirational message anyway mate.
Editing at 11.30pm obviously isn't my strong point.
Thanks for the heads up, I've changed it ;)

Haha cheers mate.
Where are you from?
I'm in the U.S., Florida these days but spent a month in Sydney visiting a buddy in Chatswood a few years back.. Fell in love with Sydney, almost stayed for good.
Happy to hear we left a good impression :)
