Drop shipping is over?
First off, thank you for taking the time to read this blog it really means a lot to me. I also have to state this is all opinionated and that I am no expert in these fields, just a guy who sees opportunity. In summary, many people believe drop shipping is dead or will be dead very soon. Is this just a scary myth or is it factual, and what is drop shipping?

Drop shipping?
Simplicity at its finest
Drop shipping is a growing and recent business that is utilized on the internet. The beauty of drop shipping is how much work the middleman does not have to do. The idea is a middleman (aka you) who buys stock from a warehouse and sells straight to the customer without ever seeing the product. It is a very efficient and fast process and many people have made serious profits because of it. There are many warehouses out there, but one of the biggest is Alibaba which ships out from China. You would buy products in bulk from these warehouses and instead of them being shipped to you which would slow profits and cost more, these warehouses hold your stock of items until they are bought. Once a customer was ready to buy, the retail cost would go to you and whatever wholesale price you bought from the warehouse would be filled out. The order would then bit shipped from these warehouses to the customer without you ever having to see the product.
So why are people saying it is dead?
Fact or Myth?
Unfortunately, many say the time for early birds in drop shipping is over or at the most, beginning to end. The market has grown exponentially over 2017 and it now costs more to run a drop shipping business. This does not mean it is dead, in fact, the book Six Billion Shoppers by Porter Erisman talks about how early the world still is for e-commerce. Many markets are just beginning to open in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and India. The word on drop shipping being dead is just a scare factor for people who do not understand how to effectively run the business. For proof the recent black Friday reported that more people bought online than in retail stores. It is not too late to join in and make huge profits and I believe, this is prime time, especially for Christmas coming up. Like all emerging markets, timing is perhaps the most important tool someone can have. I'll leave you off with a quote from a mentor of mine, "the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is right now."
Once again I will state this is all OPINIONATED. If anyone feels like I am wrong please be sure to let me know ok?
