I will love to hear more about your story. I have nothing against education and I see the benefits of going to school but most of the smartest people I know did not necessarily have a Phd. They acquired their knowledge through experiential learning.
I can't remember what that Psych professor said in my first year of university, but I can tell you what I learnt from selling ice cream when I was a preteen. That's the power of experiential learning. Looking forward to reading your story.
I think there should be a new way for kids to learn now days. I actually had a ice cream sales position when in the economy collapsed in 08. We were going neighborhood to neighborhood ringing the bell hustling. Was short lived, we made 35% of gross sales for the day. Working 12+ hour days. I only did it for roughly a month. Wasn’t even spring time quite yet but I recall my biggest day of sales and I made $110 for the day. Wasn’t to excited and by the time you put gas in the vans driving all day it didn’t leave very much profit.
