Business Spirit

in #business7 years ago

Albeit I’m not a fan of the presidency of Donald Trump, but if there’s something I must confess about him that I definitely respect, of course, not love, it’s his business spirit. To say that he is a successful businessman is an understatement. I feel him coming into presidency perhaps was just to get out of the years of boredom in business... Lol.

Prior to his emergence as the POTUS, I came across one of his books “Think Big and Kick Ass in Business” in a friend’s library and I decided to feed my eyes. Not because I was a fan, but because business is one of those things you can’t shy away from in this present day world and to get an opportunity to learn from one of the best, irrespective of whether you agree or disagree on some certain levels, is something fascinating.

It was quite voluminous and for someone like me who wasn’t a fan of bulky books, it was by sheer determination to maximise my free time that saw me read it from the first letter to the last full stop. Some colleagues who saw me thought I fancied his becoming president while others thought Reading it already made me a business mogul. In all, it was a wonderful experience.

In particular, I must say I was impressed by this wit and rawness. He was starkly raw. His fighting spirit, never say die spirit, determination, from learning from his father to going his own way at a young age and taking crazy business decisions which either resulted in loss or profit was massive. Well, I guess, that’s why I’m not really surprise about his escapades now as POTUS. The way he served revenge and all. Yes, I might not agree with his revenge style but I must commend his sense to envision. He would make a good gamer.

Being a good businessman, not to now say a mogul, is not a simple feat. It requires astuteness, boldness and with elements of risk and/or sacrifices. You have to be ready to take risks and of course, you would most likely step on toes which might cause your business but your resolute nature is what would keep your business alive.

This could be seen as an addendum to my last post on being open minded. Irrespective of who is who, take the benefit and leave whatever you think is not profitable. Don’t allow your dark paint your white grey. Keep it plain. Keep it open.
