In order to design a Strategic Performance planning program for various types of users, we had to crack our brains to simplify the concepts in order for all levels of users to understand its importance. On top of that, we need to be very creative in coming out with easy-to-use templates for the beginners to be able to put their divisions and departmental cascaded objectives, initiatives and most important of all, selecting the most valuable key performance indicators to report on.
The first workshop, Introduction to KPI (Workshop code, 101), was held on 26 October 2017, and I am very glad that we managed to reach the end of KPI 104 Workshop (KPI Selection & Documentation) this month. We have 14 divisions to guide and facilitate. This is definitely an achievement for the small team of Strategic Performance Committee that we have. I am very proud of this shared achievement! Self-pat on the own back, boys... hehe
Lesson learnt: A lot of traditional operational middle management team have not been analyzing to identify the most valuable KPIs to track whether their divisions / departments are Doing the Right Thing Right. Well, the positive thing is, it is never too late to learn and align ourselves to reach the Corporate Strategic Objectives.
