Experts have agreed that collaboration in business consistently provides greater accomplishment. When it works, the combined brainpower of intelligent people can solve complex problems and achieve amazing results.
Many people still don’t like the idea of merging with others in business regardless of the benefits. Considering that the many bad stories of a collaboration that went bad, it is very understandable. Let’s not talk about the hassle involved in managing the needs and personalities of others when stakes are high and time is short.
Regardless, it doesn’t change the fact that effective collaboration can create breakthroughs.
These are a few ways to make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.
Select Partners Carefully
A successful partnership depends very much on choosing the right people. Asking for volunteers would not really be appriopriate, instead, carefully find out everyone’s skills to the experience, motivations, and ability to work with others. Depending on the type of project or business, you might decide to get a group of people with the same skills or a group of people with complementary skills.
Erase Quiet Politeness
What’s the point of collaboration if everyone won't be honest and sharing? People need to be willing to open themselves and be challenged. You could find creative, fun ways to raise passionate debate. Reward openness and authenticity with admiration.
Give Requirement and Permission
It is important to have clear guidelines for everyone’s responsibilities and build accountability. Announce deadlines and consequences if someone doesn’t meet up. Let everyone know they can speak up when they notice anything that is not right. Remove non-compliant people as soon as possible before they destroy the trust and morale of the team.
Work with Respect
At first, it may not be anyone’s intentions to be disrespectful; yet it happens, often. Verbally or non-verbally. If everyone shows respect by focusing each minute of activity on the goals of the team, work will be done delightfully. Not to say there shouldn’t be any sort of play, but there’s time for everything.
Broadcast Recognition and Gratitude
Always always give commendation especially where it is due. This would motivate the group and help to establish a culture of developing groundbreaking results.
Working collaboratively can help you to improve your business performance and products, enhance staff skills and win new business. Members of a network will frequently engage in information-sharing and work together on cost-reduction measures to maximise their competitiveness.
My point exactly!
I had a venture I wanted to start off, and I found the right person, when I mean right! She possessed all requirement, but she just ain't cooperative, always wants her ideas at fore front and wouldnt listen to suggestions.
I dropped her though, but I haven't found another one good enough.
Nice post though.

The solution might be to find how to work with her best and probably assign a particular area
Like a saying, "if you want to go fast, walk alone. But if you want to go far, walk with other people."
Collaboration in business is a good way to give your business a boom in a short time. But I'll advice anyone who wants to go into a business collaboration with another person to always have a legal agreement. Invite your lawyer, let the job description of every party involved be spelt out immediately. This will go a long way to avoid stories that touches.
