In my previous post, I gave us an insight into the need for businesses to focus on human communication and how different personalities play out on team success.
One might wonder why it is actually necessary to understand their personality and that of others and also how to deliberately make use of the knowledge to build and succeed in team playing.

One of the most important things that drives personality and communication is consciousness and awareness.
• How aware are you of who you are?
• How aware are you of what you are capable of doing?
• How well do you know people?
• What does it take for you to ignite your business through team success?
A big part of our communication pattern is driven by the subconscious, a part of our brain that likes to give answers without having to think and in most cases these answers are wrong but we still roll with it. We tend to give these answers as a result of our interactions with people.
Okay let’s do a quick practical:
Say “silk” five times, now spell “silk” S-I-L-K.
Done? Okay, what do cows drink?
Your answer: Milk
Actual Answer: Water.
Now a number of us got the answer wrong not because we don’t know cows drink water, our subconscious has been used to relating cow with milk and without actually thinking about the question, it jumped to the answer.
All our knowledge has its origin in perceptions
LEAONARDO DA VINCI
We need to be more conscious about who we are and the impact we have on other people, know yourself and other people.
until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
CARL JUNG
We have millions of patterns in our subconscious that determines how we relate with people. We need to challenge ourselves to consciousness otherwise things will keep happening and we think they are just happening because we don’t have control whereas we do have control. We have the ability to change our outcomes by changing subconscious patterns already established.
I will quickly show us another model we could use to understand our personalities in addition to the Choleric,Sanguine, Melancholic, and Phlegmatic and the one I mentioned earlier on my blog. You can read it here https://steemit.com/business/@vheobong/your-personality-and-team-success
PERSONALITY MODEL II
• Fiery Red: Competitive, Demanding, Strong Willed, Purposeful, Task Oriented and all about winning. The Fiery Red is similar to Red Whale. There’s something about the Red colour though.
To help your team succeed they are best at driving goals and results.
• Sunshine Yellow: Sociable, dynamic, demonstrative, enthusiastic, lively, energy quite similar to Blue Dolphins, the all about the fun guys.
To best assist the team, they inspire creativity and innovation and also motivate other members of the team.
• Earth Green: Caring, Patient, Listening, Sharing and relationship conscious.
For team success, they are better at fostering team work
• Cool Blue: cautious, analytical, meticulous and precise.
These guys are good at problem solving, improving quality and process and drafting out structures.

Because of our individual personalities, we are naturally good at some things and we struggle with others and sometimes get to overuse our energies. What then happens if we overuse these energies or go too far? The reality is that we tend to perceive opposite personalities as negative and in most cases get irritated. For example, a Fiery Red who is mostly concerned with getting things done will put so much pressure on the Cool Blue who is basically taking time to gather and analyse details. So also will a Sunshine Yellow feel intimidated by a Fiery Red’s Seriousness and drive.
To deal with this, we have to think about the energies others lead with and treat them that way, because when it comes to team communication, it is more about us than the other person.
For businesses to succeed, the team(s) have to succeed and for teams to succeed, we have to maximize our individual personalities

I agree completely, nobody cares who you are or what you offer if you fail to have a loveable personality.
Yeah
Exactly....
No matter who you are, you just have to make your personality lovable
