One thing Russian girls love to do is walking.
I met a group of people a few days ago and when me and a Mexican friend I came with suggested we hit a bar, the girls reply was No, no bar, let´s go walk around the city. This came as strange because yeah, I like walking and exploring the city but come on, it was already 11 pm and the mood was more about some beers in a bar having a nice conversation, not getting tired and sweaty while using the google translator to communicate with girls.
Anyway, these girls want to walk around? Let´s do it, we´ll convince them of the bar afterwards.
We walked for 4 hours straight and they weren´t tired. They had to work the next morning but they just didn´t care. The cultural exchange they were experiencing - this was during the first days of the world cup - for the first time, the good conversation, the words in spanish they were larning, the phrases in Russian they were teaching us, the overall experience was awesome for them. They wanted to keep walking and to be honest, so did we. This was as much of a great experience for us as it was for them and this was just the first of many walks by night I had during the past month.
I was amazed by the city during the dark hours - which are only between 12 pm and 3 am - and this walk by the light of the moon convinced me to take more walks by night.
The next gallery is a compilation of the best photos - taken with a cellphone - I could get for you. They are not the best pictures but they portray what Moscow by night really feels like. The pictures with dark skies are taken betwen 11 and 3 am, those that have a brighter sky were taken after 3 am. Yeah, Russians tend to stay up all night during the summer.
I hope you enjoy this tour around Moscow by night. Pitures are taken with a cellphone, not a camera, sorry for the flashes in some photos but I couldn´t avoid street and building lights blocking my way for a great photo.
If you don´t speak spanish just scroll down to see the photos :D
Very kool brother! Lots of great architecture! Loved the shot down the street and park(?) areas! Beautiful place! I see you're feeling better? Glad to see you are.
MUY BIEN! very cool selfie 😊😊 saludos!
THE BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS!
I like this phrase:
hahahaha.
Greetings from Venezuela and success in your travels.PD: I hope the cultural exchange was super pleasurable and I try to have a good time.
I think I understand why the Russians tend to stay up overnight sometimes during the summer. I mean if you are used to living in cool weather, then summer nights can be the coolest part of the 24 hour day period.....
Nevertheless, its fun up being at nights, I should know because I am up myself lately :-)
BTW would you be coming to steemfest directly from Russia?
I have heard that, that place is beautiful, your photography makes them more attractive
First of, you hit rep 70 congratulations buddy 😁😁
One thing I know is Russians do love to have fun, and four hours walking without getting tired? Hahahaha that's huge, it's so glad to see you're having fun in Russia, I bet you plan to still cover more places, no?
Moscow is making mad sense oo.. Am coming to join you soon
The photo's are gorgeous, looks am amazing place :)
Too cool, but some of those lonely, empty streets would be scary for me late at night (unless I had some bodyguards.)
Great veg out you had there bro. Those Russians girls like night walk around - that's true someone told me that before. Can't imagine how it will be like there in autumn and winter with -30 degree Celsius.
Nice pics. Your phone camera is good
Me encantó.
Wonderful photos. I hope you will remember this all your life, and then tell your children about Moscow)).
Nice selfie @anomadsoul
The pics give a clear view of the tour of Moscow
Which is your preferred place in Moscow .?
You are still in Rusia? You really seam to like it there.
"One thing Russian girls love to do is walking."
They can do whatever the hell they want. They are gorgeous. :)
Saludos
Haha I would rather hit bars too! You got some nice pictures from the walk though
wow Moscow is beautiful! But 4 hours of walking seems like eternity ahaha LOL. Thanks for posting this!!! I learned Russian a few years ago, but unfortunately I forgot all of it. It's a beautiful language
Wow, very beautiful views!
Looks like the city itself "dresses up" at night, suggesting there is an appreciation for the practice of walking the streets late a night. I wonder if all those roofline and building lights remain on during the winter, or is it just a summer thing?
=^..^=
Greetings friend that good that you share that great experience that you lived in Russia with us greetings
Saludos.
