I'm still posting about an old stuff, and today I'm gonna talk about "Floppy Disk". here we goo..
Floppy is one portable tool for data storage that has been long enough, and at this time is very rarely used because many substitute alternatives for data storage with a larger storage capacity. Such as flash disk, CD burner, external Hardisk and many more.
floppy disks are available in three sizes, ie 8-inch (20.32 cm) versions, 5 ¼ inch (3.34 cm), 3 ½ inches (8.89 cm) or called micro-versions. The 8-inch diskette storage capacity is 250KB (roughly 250,000 characters) and for the 1.6MB (approximately 1.6 million characters), on disks of 5 ¼ inches has a capacity of 250KB and 1.6MB, whereas for size 3 ½ inches has a capacity of 500KB and 2MB.
Until finally in the modern era that continues to grow in terms of technology, the use of floppy disks are rarely used on computer devices. In fact very rarely do we find the floppy disk reader (floppy drive) installed on desktop-type computers at this time. This is because floppy disk is less effective used in data storage at this time, because the data or files that are often used at this time already has a large enough capacity, so it is very not possible if we use a disk that has a storage capacity small.
