Fews days ago I submitted an article on "body odour" - ref: https://www.steemit.com/skincare/@biit/skin-care-or-body-odour
Where I sighted some everyday activities which causes body odour and I also ended it by proffering simple solutions to it. Well, That gave me the clue to write this one, "Do women smell different after menopause?" what do you think?, I think It's such an amazing topic and I hope after this you'd know what to do in such condition.
Menopause is a normal condition that all women experience as they hit or cross 40yrs. "menopause" can be described as any change a woman goes through either just before or after she stops menstruating, marking the end of her reproductive period. This occurs due to the inability of ovaries to release egg every month.
Naturally, menopause is not caused by any medical or surgical treatment. The process is gradual and has three stages:
1: Perimenopause-
This stage begins several years before menopause, when the ovaries gradually make less estrogen. lt last up until menopause, at this stage the symptoms beginnings to show. The point when the ovaries stop releasing eggs. In the last 1 to 2 years of perimenopause, the drop in estrogen quickens.
2: Menopause-
This is the point when it's been a year since a woman last had her last menstrual period. At this stage, the ovaries have stopped releasing eggs and making most of their estrogen.
3: Postmenopause-
This can be the periods(years after menopause). During this stage, symptoms such as hot flashes ease for most women. Hence, health risks related to the loss of estrogen rise as the woman gets older.
Note:
There has been reports of premature menopause. This can be caused by genetics, illness, or failed medical procedures , some women go through menopause before the age of 40. Menopause that occurs before this age, whether natural or induced, is known as "premature".
Symptoms of premature menopause
Symptoms of premature menopause are often the same as those experienced by women undergoing natural menopause which may include
1: Irregular or missed periods
2: Periods that are heavier or lighter than usual.
3: hot flashes (a sudden feeling of warmth that spreads over the upper body)
4: Vaginal dryness (the vagina may also become thinner and less flexible)
5: Irritating bladder and incontinence
6: Emotional changes or mild depression
7: dry skin or mouth
8: Sleeplessness
9: Decreased sex drive
You might likely experience decreased estrogen levels due to poor production of hormonal ovary increase. Low levels of estrogen can lead to changes in a woman's overall health and may increase her risk for certain medical conditions, such as osteoporosis. Other health risks associated with the loss of estrogen include increased risk for colon and ovarian cancer, periodontal (gum) disease which in turn cause bad breath
tooth loss, and cataract formation. Endeavor to see your doctor when you experience these symptoms to profer medically approved medications to control the risk of inducing other health risks.
It depend on the way you keep your self. But they dont smile differently.
Definitely, hygiene is the priority here...
