First regulate the mood

Mood:

temporary state of mind or feeling.
state of mind.

Some psychologist, wise and Philosophers advise us to do not take decisions while very happy or so sad just because at such moments feelings are strong enough to control our actions and thoughts!
Before making a decision first regulate your mood. By my experience I found 2 things that can really help you to regulate your mood:

1. Silence:

When you become
sad

or just some one made you upset, take a moment of silence analyse the situation, ask yourself the role you played in the situation and think of the best and low risk solution that you could take. Sometimes avoidance is the best solution. Keep this in your mind "you will not win all fights, winning don't always requires fighting, won fights will not always increase your value no that will depend on what you're fighting for and how you fought" be humble!
And when you're
Over happy which is also not good while taking decisions, just stop laughing and ask yourself if what you're going to decide is rational.

2. Calmness:

By being calm I mean to restrict yourself on doing any action.
If you're sad or upset stop everything you were doing, if standing just sit down and think you'll always find a better solution than fighting.
And if you're very happy, you have also to restrict your body on some decisions that may be chosen as a result emotions.

You have to know that life is about choice and you have to choose carefully as what you choose today will affect your future!

You are the driver in your life's journey stop, accelerate or decelerate wherever you want and give a lift to whoever you want

No one has to determine your mood, you're not as weak as such

It's impolite to leave links on on someone's post, I have known many to downvote such an action. Just a friendly hint from your community @asapers.

@bmotives Useful advice on controlling your emotions for better decision making.

Leaving your moods influence your decisions can not lead you anywhere good. Great tips!

That's right. Some people get carried when facing uncomfortable situations. And most of the time instead of thinking and looking for the most productive option, our mood step in to cloud us. This is a issue we all humans have dealt throughout our lives.
