Last week I did a post called is anybody listening.
The point was to reward people who comment on the post with why they should earn votes. I didn't care what the answer was as long as someone "was listening".
I'm a huge believer in shitty content because if you scour social media you will find that shitty content is what people share and consume. There is nothing wrong with "Medium" style long form content but it is not a sustainable way to move forward on steemit.
The only way the platform grows if people are rewarded for being active steemians and support the networks they onboard.
For ex: If I were to recruit a few hundred of my Facebook friends to Steem, I would encourage them to share what the wanted and I would support them with my votes. I would probably have to bankroll the entire project until they began to believe in the potential of the platform but ultimately , like the rest of us, they would.
The point Im trying to make is that ultimately Steemit will be a place to social network and the community in its entirety should not care what small groups are posting. Policing content is not a way forward. Reward people for their decision to join and become active.
So as a result of my post last week I've decide to choose 4 winners and give each 1 vote per day for 7 days. It doesn't matter what they post. I just want to support them for being active.
Unfortunately my votes are not worth that much but hey, they are something.
Congrats to @ikechi , @vivi-rocha , @forexbrokr and @teukuyusril
I will do this again with this post: Just write a comment and tell me why you should earn a daily vote from me.
I will choose 2 winners. 1 of them will be completely random to keep the contest fair.
im listening
