I would like to clarify, that the title of the post does not refer to the fact that my family and I have moved and now live in Las Vegas - State of Nevada. No, nothing to do with that; I'm just referring to the vegan feeding style... I'll now explain to you my particular case.
About two or maybe three years ago, we never imagined in our family, that we would become Vegans; but, not vegans out of conviction but Vegans by Obligation. And I refer to the fact that today we have been forced to stop consuming all foods of animal origin: meats (in all its varieties), cheeses, milk, butter and even eggs, etc.; for purely economic reasons. My dear Friends, the money in my country is not enough to eat!
Particularly, in my family we can not even think about being able to eat this type of food, because simply hyperinflation is killing us.

Before proceeding, it is important to briefly review some concepts or key information for the topic under discussion ... The word "vegan" is defined as "vegetarian who does not eat butter, eggs, cheese or milk" ... Veganism is the practice that rejects the use and consumption of all products and services of animal origin. Whoever practices veganism is called vegan. The term "veganism" was introduced in 1944 by Donald Watson, with the aim of distinguishing simple vegetarianism (not meat) from strict vegetarianism (no product of animal origin, including milk, eggs, honey and any product that contains them) for reasons ethical (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veganismo).
Once that brief theoretical reference is finished, I will tell you that in Venezuela, we are submerged in a hyperinflationary process of catastrophic dimensions, which is affecting us dramatically in each of our basic needs of life. This post touches one of the main primary needs of society, the right to food.

I am surprised when I see people friends or colleagues who have lost an impressive amount of weight in the last year (I am included myself, I lost about 15 Kg), and the truth that some look like sad zombies, scolded zombies, simply: we are Haggards Vegans by Obligation!
Although traditionally the Venezuelan is mostly happy; it is already possible to get cases like the one shown in the previous image ... I know a case of a person who was quite obese and has lost around 50 kg due to the vegan diet by obligation.

Now, there is always a counterpart: there are people, although not the majority, who look great, some a little fat, others very athletic and cheerful, who have a well-balanced diet, rich in proteins, and who have not been affected by the veganism by obligation; here of course we must include the politicians in general and their family and the people who are part of the political party of the government (together with their family) and who in some way have a position that allows them to acquire food products more easily, independently of the market price:

This character must be feeding very well. It may be rich from birth, it may be political or it is simply well connected with the government, here we call them "plugged in", maybe in English we could say something like "plugged in".

The situation is so critical that even family reunions and birthdays can not be carried out because there is no money available to buy ingredients for food:
Some people say: "If you invite me, I come, but I can not bring anything!"... In any case, the Venezuelan is always looking for an alternative to compensate for some deficiency, and for that we are working on the new style of feeding: Light Vegan by obligation! ... Cakes without sugar, vegetable grill without meat, etc.

Yup my dear friends, now we are pioneers in a new vegan variety: the Light Vegan by Obligation, which is the one that does not consume soda, juices, sweets (we can not consume sugar), that does not consume coffee or liquors and even vegetables. We will stop consuming ... at the end we will disappear.
Before concluding this post, I want to clarify that I totally respect the people who have a Vegan style of food and that my post only wants to attract attention to the critical situation that the Venezuelan people are living.
