Welcome back to Wonderland!
It's been a long time since I've been here...
In my previous post I mentioned that I was born in Siberia, Russia. My hometown is called Irkutsk, the fairly small town never heard of McDonalds or Starbucks, or even subway. Sometimes you feel like you travel not even to a different part of the world, but to a different time period.
Once upon a time when KFC store opened its doors in Irkutsk. And closed on the third day. WHY? Just because they ran out of all chicken in the area. Imagine the lines of people trying to eat some junk food. Never heard of it before!
Weather?
Yes, right now it is around -45 C degrees there. Cars are not working, schools are closed... what a life!
All the scary and hungry bears are sleeping now, so you may consider the opportunity to visit us as well! It is safe now, I swear!:)
It is a kind of well-preserved small sanctuary. Right now lots of tourists from Asia are visiting us there, so you can see all the signs translated into the Chinese language. For them seeing that different world with crystal clear air and fragile nature is an unbelievable experience.
After living few years in Toronto, imagine how it would look like to me to come back for a while? Amazing!
I had so many short journeys to absolutely magical places in Siberia. I am going to tell you about these days there and share all the hidden beauties.
Well i've been in Moscow 5 years ago but i have never thought about going to Siberia. I remember there's "Transsiberian train" or something like this. Is it worth going?
I think it is worth it totally! If you have a Russian friend it is even better because he can show you more and explain more things! Consider this option:)
amazing post but please elaborate and put more picture it will bring you more upvote and steem dollars as well :)
Thank you so much for feedback, I will!:)
Interesting post. I'm a photographer and I just posted something similar about my city in Australia. The only difference is the weather: in winter we have around 22ºC and in summer 30ºC.
Thats a nice weather to live!:) but i heard recently in Australia the weather was extremely hot!
You're right, there were places where the temperature soared. Here on the coast of Queensland we rarely go over 35ºC.

The name Irkutsk is familiar to a lot of people because it was on the map of the popular board game Risk, but most people don't know anything more about it, so I appreciate you sharing photos from there. -45 C makes Ontario feel warm! I don't think I've ever experienced lower than, say, -33 C.
I would love to visit Russian someday, but do you think it would be easy to travel there without knowing some of the language?
