Today was actually fun, I got to see my cousins and my aunt I haven't seen for few years now.
On my way home, I notice this particular guy came into our compound to fetch water and I clearly over heard my mum telling him that we don't have much water in the tank at that moment, that there was no light to pump the water.
Mum said she allowed him to fetch earlier before she left for church, now he's back for more.
She told him the one available was for the family use that he should come back later, by then the tank will be refilled. (simple explanation)

I met him outside the gate while coming in.
He then started hailing me, and greeting me, I replied, then he told me he needed water, then I told him, I would have loved to help but the water wasn't even enough for us and our tenants to use.
Then he started saying he knows I'm a Christian, he hears me pray most tome he comes around, the few days I had come,he insisted I switched the water on for him.
Then I told him I don't understand how Christianity comes in, my mum had already explained to him and if I went against her orders it would be an act of disobedience.
Then he started ranting that I read the Bible, as a Christian we should help one another, or is that not what the Bible says. That next Sunday I'd dress up and go to church but I cannot help him with water. He began to murmur this Christianity stuff maybe to make me feel guilty or whatsoever.
Wow I was touched at first but he had no right to preach such to me, then I told him if he wanted to be biblical instead of understanding the simple fact that had been explained countless times, he can stand there and preach from the whole gospel that won't bring the water to him else he prays the power supply returned,i walked out on him.

Gone are those days anyone can manipulate me with the scripture or question my Christianity because they have refused to understand the simple things of life.

If you are a Christain, do so with wisdom. I mean be kind to people if you can, help as much as you can also but never in the name of being a CHRISTAIN or out of fear, trying to keep up with how the society expects Christians to behave , go out to please anyone against your Will, Capability and Comfort except it is done Sacrificially.

As a Christian , learn to always forgive people if they offend you but do not hesitate to act or react when it's necessary.

If you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to go legal, please do and don't let anyone manipulate you with this myopic ideology that Christians don't take people to court but call the elders in the house to settle dispute. (There is time for everything)

Even Jesus Christ the Messiah, the great healer, I am that I am, way maker, Destiny Changer, in fact the nicest person on earth didn't tolerate those who bought and sold in his father's house, He did the needful.

I know The society expect you as a Christian to be 100% good, quiet, nice, perfect, and flawless but I tell you, no matter how you struggle to be one, the same People will try to abuse it or want to use you.

The choice is now yours to decide the kind of Christain you want to be. Either to be among the Five wise Virgins or the Five fooliah Virgins (Substitute the word 'virgin' for 'Christain' and code the message).

Well said. If you had succumb to his emotional blackmail, it would have been foolishness on your part and you, your family and tenant will suffer for it but thank God you saw through his act.

Being a christian does not one should be inconsiderate of other people in our action just because one want to prove his or her christianity. I always preach love but you are right in this.

Most people think they can use it to manipulate people.
