Meatball has the roots of Chinese culinary art of Indonesia this is from the term Bakso comes from the word Bak-So, in Hokkien language which literally means 'pork milled'.
Because Indonesians are muslims, meatballs are more common than halal meat such as beef, fish, or chicken. As the time progressed, the term meatball became better known as 'milled meat' only. Now, the meatball seller is a Javanese from Wonogiri and Malang. The famous place as the center of Meatballs is Solo and Malang called Bakso Malang.
