Why don't Steemit makes impossible for a person to upvote his/her own post/comment? When i began using Steemit i already found that strange for a user to do that. And i do also, mind you, but just because i can. But i wouldn't mind if it exists that feature that only other people can upvote your stuff, not you. It's like Liking your own Facebook status. It's silly.
Would be difficult to enforce that tho, it is very easy for people to make a second account... besides i do not believe there is a problem with upvoting your own comments or blogs... as long as they are original and you put work into it, the problem is when you have over 5000 sp and you start to abuse those votes for more than just refunding your own time.
Either way difficult to find a solution.
Ok. Understood.
If you couldn't upvote yourself you would just get 2 accounts or if you couldn't get 2 accounts you would make a deal with somebody with equal SP and upvote each other. There's no way around self voting. The only thing we can do is design conflict resolution systems that hold people accountable for self voting. Such as vote negation
Yeah. You've got a point there.
