Amber Baldet chairs JPMorgan's Blockchain Center of Excellence
Amber Baldet, who is in charge of the development of JPMorgan's authorized Blockchain platform Quorum, is leaving the financial institution, according to a statement Monday by Umar Farooq, chief of JPMorgan Chase's Blockchain initiatives.
Amber Baldet, one of the most impressive people in Blockchain in BlockDesk in 2017, has been head of JPMorgan's Blockchain Center of Excellence since it was founded in 2015. Amber Baldet, in partnership with the IC3 Initiative for Crypto Money and Conventions and the Corporate Ethereum Alliance, was partnering with companies behind Zcash.
Amber Baldet did not give any information about what the new venture would be.
Christine Moy will take over Amber Baldet's position
Christine Moy, the senior product manager in the center, will take over Amber Baldet's position. Umar Farooq explains that Christine Moy has been working with Amber Baldet in the center since the beginning, JPMorgan has been involved in capital market operations and blockchain product development work in the investor segment. A JPMorgan spokesman said,
Amber Baldet was extremely talented and helped to build an outstanding team that we have today. We respect your desire to start your own initiative and we hope it will do its best.
JPMorgan Chase leader did not comment on new Blockchain initiative
There is no detail about Amber Baldet's next project. Reuters announced on Monday that he left the company prematurely.
