(27.75) Tayyip Erdogan a 'fight like a man', the rival presidential candidate
Presidential candidate of the main opposition in Turkey, called the country's President, Rajab Tayyip Erdogan, to be 'fighting for men' in the next election held next month. On Saturday, he called on the demand for the release of the Kurdish opposition leaders who are in prison.
On Friday, the Republican People's Party (CHP) of Turkey nominated Murerem Ensak as the presidential candidate. The elections will be held on June 24. And Kurdish People's Democrat Party (HDP) has declared prisoner Salehatin Demiras as a candidate. He has been in prison for nearly one and a half years.
Ince said, HDP is the child of this country, AKPO is the child of this country. Do not keep Demiaras in prison. Come on, fight like a man.
In the first interview to Reuters, after receiving the party's nomination for the president, Demiras said that it was impossible to hold neutral elections in the state of emergency after the failed coup attempt in July 2016.
AKP Party's Advocate announced last month the parliamentary and presidential elections. The election to be held on June 24 will be held almost a year ago. Earlier, in April last year, a controversial referendum boosted the country's president's power. Erdogan's team formed an election coalition ahead of the elections.
