Phd on aerodynamics sound borh interesting and heavy! Do you want to be a researcher or another kind of job?
I’ve been to Hvide Sande once, I was windsurfing on the lake. Pretty shallow lake. Great fun! I haven’t kitesurfed in years, but I wouldn’t mind trying it on skis one time! Yes, it’s expencive, and if you want to do it regularly you need equipment and that’s quite expencive as well.
Very interesting, to me at least :) And heavy indeed, I'm in for almost 4 years now. I'm getting a bit anxious to be done with it by now! I'm pretty sure I won't stay in academics, however, I really do like doing research. So doing research at some company would be cool. But to be honest, I have no clue what I will do once I'm done! We'll see :)
Man Hvide Sande sounds very much like Brouwersdam. Also, this place is pretty shallow. Most of the place you are able to touch the bottom. Kiting on ski's sounds like fun! I would be interested trying it on a frozen snowy lake or something. I actually saw a guy playing with a big kite somewhere up in the ski resort in Les Deux Alpes. Not sure what he was doing, since he was at the top of a hill very close to a lifts :s
Interesting times ahead I understand... I did study a long time myself, and it was weird when it ended.
At Hvide Sande you can also touch the bottom. We have som great areas for kiting on snow in Norway, big flat mountain areas with snow and wind. Kiting on a mountain top near lifts sounds weird, could be dangerous for many...
