Recently Grand Sheikh Al Azhar back to visit Indonesia for the umpteenth time.
Among his visit Sheikh Ahmad Tayyib was invited to visit PBNU office. In place of the event is installed banner with words from arabic language which means more or less:
"From Islam Nusantara to the peace of the Universe."
KH Said Aqil also spoke in Arabic to explain to shaykh Ahmad Thayyib about what is Islam Nusantara. He explained that Islamic archipelago is Islam of Indonesian archipelago, Malaysa, Brunei which is full of anti extremty and radical tolerance, not the same as islam arab (while laughing lightly).
Then Sheikh Ahmad Thayyib immediately replied to straighten out the statement from Said Aqil, He said:
"If only God knew that the Indonesian people were more deserving of the Arab nation to accept and carry the Prophetic concluding Treatise, then the Risks would not be handed down to the Prophet Muhahammad (greeted by the laughter of the audience).
Shaykh Ahmad explains again:
"Allah is omniscient and Allah chooses the Arab Nations to carry on and continue the preaching of the Prophet Shollahu 'alaihi wa sallam because Allah knows the Arab nation is capable of spreading this religion all over the world.
"In contrast to the prophets of the prophets that Allah sent before, which is indeed a limited period of his prophethood and the range of his da'wah is also limited to the example of the prophet of the Israelites, the Prophet is chosen from other than the Arab nation, but when sent Prophet Muhammad the Prophet whose Shari'a will always be upheld until the end of time and obliged imani by all humans in all the earth's inhabitants So God chose the first Arab nation to receive this da'wah and spread it throughout the world. "
Shaykh ahmad thayyib continued:
"It is totally illegitimate for your faith unless you love this Arabian (ie Prophet Muhammad Shollahu 'alaihi wa sallam) more than you love yourselves your family of your nation etc ... in other sense if kalain anti and sentiments against the Arabs then your unlawful faith . "
"We learned about the history of the entry of Islam here.Is not that bringing Islam to your country is the Arab people? If only the Arabs did not come here and teach you how the teachings of Islam then maybe you are still in the confidence of people east Asia whose beliefs are against the truth (animism, dynamism, worship of statues, trees etc.). "
"Do not you know that the Messenger of Allah was angry when people boasted of his tribe there is saying that from my Aus tribe of the Prophet Khazraj angry to blush his face.That is to say that Muslims are not tribal fanatic but consider all Muslims are brothers without differentiating tribes and race. "
Islamic archipelago is very misleading. Want to keep Muslims away from their sources instantly. The Prophet of the Arabs, the Companions, the Tabi'in and the Tabi'in Dominant Arab People. When the propaganda to hate Arabic is dissolved then the essence is to break the path of sanad so that knowledge will be lost. Just as the Shi'ites argue only those who are up to their priests.
May Allah keep both of them in the right path and keep the Muslims away from misleading ideals and return to Islam brought by the Arabs (the Prophet and the Companions).
