Of all the things to finally push me over the edge.
Media bias and state propaganda? Nope. Taxes? Nope. Misogyny? Nope. Serial bombings? Nope. Xenophobia? Nope. Homelessness? Nope. Homophobia? Nope. Mass shootings? Nope. Gerrymandering? Nope. Minimum wages? Nope. Animal abuse? well maybe, but nope.
Don't get me wrong and don't judge me. Of course those all matter to me and I have genuine concern and empathy for those effected; I truly get a visceral and sickening reaction when I witness it. I've even volunteered my time and donated to causes. But does it directly effect me and my loved ones to the point where I feel white-hot outrage and over come my lazy nature to take fucking action and write about any of it? Nope, none of it.
A little dramatic? I apologize for the build up, @stacyquast is always calling me on it.
So here it is....Craigslist caved into a congressional resolution and no longer sponsors the personals section. I'm sure you've seen it:
This is what you get when you click on say, casual encounters...
Let me back up a bit and explain the circumstances that led me to even be clicking on Craigslist personals. So I read a hawt article by @porn-watch that got me um... "all worked up" as it were.
My delightful life partner @stacyquast is out of town and I've been noticing lately that things aren't as easy to "revv-up" anymore. Maybe it's job stress or a bunch of other changes that are happening in the wind, but there are just some things that things that I probably shouldn't ignore (maybe need to see a doctor?). So for me, there's just something kinky and provocative about the "realness" of what can only be described as a virtual world of garage sale sex. I mean, like it's so.....available and there's one, two, or three in every alley. The thought that there are sooo many real people/couples in my neighborhood and city that are all craving a hot connection is a turn on I guess.
Long story short, I click on it and all the sudden I'm part of the ice bucket challenge that was so popular a year or 2 ago...ya know what I'm sayin'?
Back to my outrage and, as I write this, I'm struck by the realization that my outrage may be part of a larger personal issue that should be discussed with a professional but that's besides the point.
So Yeah...Outrage!
To me, Craigslist provided a service that allowed people to basically advertise to hook-up. All discussion of exploitation aside, who is anyone (especially the state) to dictate who or how people should or shouldn't be fucking? The government has basically said we are going to make you (Craigslist) responsible for any harm that anyone receives before, during, and after the process of fucking if they used you to find each other. How fucked up is that? How about people assuming personal responsibility before, during, and after fucking? The Government is trying to dictate a process I may or may not use to find people to fuck now? You all should be as outraged by this turn of events. In even introducing this bill into resolution, the Government is moving towards taking away your right to use a method to find and fuck whomever you want. The scary thing about it is that it won't stop people- they will all just move it into the shadows where more and more exploitation exists.
Let's stop hiding the fact that we all just wanna fuck..I mean is it just me?
Kindly upvote and resteem if you want to retain your right to fuck! (sorry...I just thought that was funny)
Honestly one of the craziest forays into relationship with a lady began on Craigslist. Here you go, have fun in the rabbit hole😄
Passion in the modern age
You Monster!.. You promised wine, cheese, and strawberries? Thank you for that delightful journey into the rabbit hole! You are blessed with the written word!
I enjoyed them all thoroughly, albeit alone. Turns out she was still seeing her ex. She took me to the comedy club where he worked, little did I know she was using me in some weird revenge. A few months later she called me up, we went for drinks, then a strip club, was a wild night which ended with me dropping her at her door, where she said she didn't want to invite me in because she had a new boyfriend and didn't want to do to him what she'd done to me. Yep, that ranks up there as one of the oddest relationships I ever had. Glad you enjoyed it.
It is a really good read I recommend it too. A bit long, but will definitely help that Craigslist fetish, 4show.
Whhhhhhhat! God! This is horrible news. I wonder if it has effected Craigslist worldwide or just the states? Believe it or not I have never hooked up over Craigslist. But the casual section is where I found every pot dealer I ever had. You know before dispensaries where popping up on every corner, weed was hard to come by if you were coming to a new town or area. The casuals always had a horny guy selling weed who usually was way more about having a steady buyer than a blowy. I feel sad for all those who shall go dry because of this. I know a lot of lonely people just got lonelier.
Yeah....just a way to get turned on. Was always thinking I'd see the neighbor lady or something. You've just had a mic-drop moment..." a lot of lonely people just got lonelier"..
Does this mean we can hold people criminally liable for setting us up on bad blind dates too?
IKR?! Insane.
