Posted from my official blog --> Khaleelkazi.com
I’ve been following and playing around with the Brave browser for a while now. The browser is amazing and is noticeably faster than any other browser I’ve used.
I also have many friends who have tried the Brave browser and swear by it. They refuse to use Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. now. It’s only Brave for them.
My main interest has been in the Brave rewards portion of the browser. The idea is amazing and I’ve always hoped to see it come to fruition.
I saw a post yesterday by @creativecrypto about becoming a creator channel with their own website and was motivated to check out the program for myself.
After a little tinkering with my website and signing up for the program, my website is now connected to the Creator Channel program.
What Exactly Does this Mean?
For now, it means that people using the Brave browser who have their Brave Rewards wallet set up can now support my website by viewing it and by optionally tipping.
In the future, ads will also be integrated so that users can view Brave ads on my website or any other Brave Creator’s website/channel.
Here’s where Brave ads get interesting:
Viewing the ads will be optional and based upon the user’s choice. If the user chooses to see ads, it means that they are both choosing to support the creator as well as choosing to earn BAT for their attention toward the ads.
This creates a win-win-win for all parties involved.
- The advertiser gets exposure for their product/service to people who are financially motivated to view and interact with ads
- The creator earns ad revenue without infringing upon the attention of their audience with invasive, irrelevant and unwanted ads
- The user is rewarded for their attention and interaction with ads. They may choose when and where they want to see ads which means they don’t get that nasty feeling that we all get when we see unwanted ads — happy user, happy life 😉
Learn More and Support:
This type of support and decentralized cooperation between users, advertisers and creators is exactly what the internet needs.
The Steem rewards pool is a great way to support creators, but there is plenty of room for options that also bring in outside money — a topic that has recently become highly relevant on the Steem blockchain.
I can already imagine a future where creators such as TheCreativeCrypto, myself and maybe even dApps/apps such as Steemit.com leverage the Brave Creators Program to generate external revenue from both advertisers and users.
In the current state of the internet, platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. act as the ultimate middle-man. They are allowed to earn disproportionate amounts of money for connecting users, advertisers and creatives.
With this traditional form of connecting the web, advertisers are showing ads to people who typically don’t want to see them. Users are seeing ads that they don’t want to see AND they aren’t getting rewarded for their attention. Finally, creators are being paid less for the attention that they bring to the platform.
BAT combined with Brave can create this new and amazing situation where the middle-man doesn’t exist. The decentralized nature of the system allows for advertisers to show ads to motivated users, creators to earn more from both advertisers and users and users can earn for their incredibly valuable attention.

Q&A:
Have you used the Brave Browser? If so, what are your thoughts on the browser and the mission to decentralize and improve revenue between users, advertisers and creators?
Hopefully the Brave publisher program goes well for you! After running it for a year now I have been disappointed by the low payouts and Uphold wallet lock-in with their crazy high fees. Please share your experience in the future.

Thank you! Oh damn, I didn’t realize it wasn’t performing too well. I hope that picks up for you!
I personally haven’t experienced any issues thus far, but I also haven’t gotten any payouts 🤷🏽♂️ so I guess we’ll have to see how it goes in the coming months.
What I’m mostly excited about is the potential with ads. I’d love to integrate brave ads into my site so that brave browser users can opt in or out to see them or not and can also earn for engagement while allowing me to earn as well. Please also let me know how your experience goes in the future as brave evolves!

This is awesome. I have also been using the Brave browser for a while now. It's definitely the fastest browser ever. But I'm not sure the rewards thing will work well until enough people start using it, which could take a while. The latest update of Brave doesn't work for me either for some reason. Who to contact to fix this?
Thanks! I’m really glad to have this set up. I agree, we’ll need a lot more usage of the browser to see any real benefit in terms of BAT rewards. I’m hopeful that once the advertising model is complete and users can choose to be paid to view Brave ads on a site like mine, the rewards will start raking in for all parties involved.
Hmm not sure on the update not working. I think there’s a support link on Brave’s main website if I’m not mistaken.

Hmm interesting. So many new and invigorating browsers and search engines out there. I'll have to look into this. Good luck on Brave! (=
You will not be disappointed in using Brave! It's a great browser.
I believe you!
I agree! So much is going on in our time in general. I’m hopeful about the future of the Brave ecosystem between advertisers, users and content creators. We will see how it goes in the future 😊
