RE: #AboutMyCulture [A SNDBOX Steemit Story Challenge] - Taoism: A religous belief in Hong Kong leading and comforting most local Chinese

in #busy7 years ago

That’s a great write up there to introduce Taoism to the readers. My family also practice Buddhism and Taoism, a mixture of both. It is interesting to learn from more than one religion.

The temple you have there is modern and minimalistic. Rather than 100% replicating the old, it highlights some of the relics, making the combination unique.

It is sharp that you highlighted that the city should also embrace the local culture, like Taoism in HK which is the core and signature cultural spirit of the place and people. Without that, HK will be just any other city in the world, filled with materialism. Haha, through my relatives, I knew that HK people believe in 黄大仙 and the temple is always crowded. It is somewhere that can start and improve too :)

Another thing, I would like to invite you to use #archisteem tag that me and my partners created to support this kind of sharing, about the built environment, architecture and culture. I am sure the community will love your write up!

Thanks for the invite. I will use the tag next time writing about architectures.

Alright, great to hear that! Thanks @prch.
