At the time named KRI Tanjung Dalpele (972), this ship is a multipurpose vessel that serves as a freight ship personnel (BAP), hospital aid ships (BRS) and can land two helicopters type Super Puma.
These vessels are classified as LPD (Landing Platform Dock) vessels. The name Dalpele is taken from a cape located on the easternmost island of the island in Papua Province. The name of the cape is immortalized as the name of KRI because in that place the volunteers consisting of the best sons and daughters of Indonesia willing to sacrifice the soul when the operation Command Trikora to liberate West Irian. Deck A (Car Hold)

Deck C is a hospital-specific place. So, this deck contains doctor rooms, medicine room, examination room such as general poly, dentist, eye polish, IC room, ICU room, operating room, and helly deck are also in this place.
