At the time named KRI Tanjung Dalpele (972), this ship is a multipurpose vessel that serves as a freight ship personnel (BAP), hospital aid ships (BRS) and can land two helicopters type Super Puma.

These vessels are classified as LPD (Landing Platform Dock) vessels. The name Dalpele is taken from a cape located on the easternmost island of the island in Papua Province. Parts of this ship is divided into six parts or floors if analogous to a building. Parts of the ship are named decks, namely deck A, deck B, deck C, deck D, deck E, and deck F.

  1. Deck A (Car Hold)
    Deck A is the logistics place for help to be distributed to the community on the islands later. In addition to this A deck there is also an ambulance car, and other transports for social activities later.

  2. Deck B (Troops Room)
    Deck B contains officers' rooms as well as kitchens. Deck B is also a place for logistics supplies, such as fuel and rubber boats.

  3. Deck C (Hospital Room)
    Deck C is a hospital-specific place. So, this deck contains doctor rooms, medicine room, examination room such as general poly, dentist, eye polish, IC room, ICU room, operating room, and helly deck are also in this place. The helicopter is purposely prepared for if it is needed for patients from remote islands unable to reach or for other urgent needs.
    As a hospital aid ship, the Hospital Room became a kind of room that depicted the hospital atmosphere on land. All kinds of poly contained in the land hospital can also be found along this C deck. The health facilities themselves are at the same level as the B-class hospital and are led by the pamen.
