So over a period of four months, during a time period when it’s still relatively easy to earn and/or buy Steem, only 189 accounts were added to the Dolphin+ categories.
I am however impressed by the numbers of people actively working to become minnows as seen by #tenkminnows and similar initiatives. All point to the growth of a strong middle class, key to the health of any community.
It's not unexpected. Like in real life. Poor and rich are builders and savers. The middle class is the spender and complainer.
I'm spending, but not complaining lol. If I can live off this money in a time of such low prices and grow my sp too, I feel very fortunate.
Hahaha. Well said. I consider myself a complainer.
The Dolphin category is slow...that is true.
Although even at these prices, 5000 SP is still about $2500...not an outrageous amount but still a lot of money for most people.
As much as I would love to see the Dolphin category growing at a faster pace, I think the Minnow class is more important. If we can get that number up to 20K, that would really change the distribution of STEEM and of the reward pool each day.
It is going to take some time but it is possible. Getting to 10K Minnows is the first step.
