well i have a super-roadmap ... i'm gonna finish these up and move to a daily system on rc which should be slightly interactive and inviting to comment more than "nice post!" for an indefinite period b/c i want to concentrate (as far as what that means in my case) on @goldmanmorgan until that's running to my satisfaction. Should be possible in a week i think , maybe two, it wont be 50/50 giveaway, just a 100/100 vote on top of what i already outvote for someone in comments but thats more than it is i think.
VP will revolve around 1000sp for a while which is a bit more than a plankton vote in any case, even at current rates, so ...
well if i have to spend hours on a daily here i aint gonna get nowhere on the other two i want to do, and those two is where the fun is at (for me at least) and something to git for those who pass by and leave a bit of residue or full , that's the intention

when i bought GG it came in a bundle that contained a ton of dlc objects and also a thingy named rpgcreator
it doesnt require or actually doesnt ALLOW any kind of scripting or coding, like platfinity, its a completely visual editor where you can share the maps you create right away on steam

ah , yes, clearly before yesterdays windows update which totally set me off ... suddenly i got "edge" on my screen again and all that and i get this funky feeling everything i disabled is active again.
When i check it ... it has stuff in it like "keylogger" ... i dont know how deep you ever been into IT but if you see something named "keylogger" appear anywhere on your screen it's time to push the panic button.
So it's a keylogger by microsoft in this case ... KEYLOGGER DUDE (what could go wrong with a keylogger on a windows operating system) .. plus after all that NO I DONT WANT CORTANA TO RECOGNIZE MY SPEECH and NO NO NO NO NO not that , not that, not that either and that not and not that, the first thing i hear after telling someone about my attempt at getting a bach psychology at OU (which i didnt finish because i couldnt PAY FOR IT ANY MORE by the way ...) is a lesson in psychology. It doesn't take much paranoid to get paranoid from there for me.
I tried to clear it out, it wont even let me delete edge lol, its all memory and resource hogs, thats why you cant run windows 10 on a celeron system, while this runs six desktops at once without glitching.
If it werent for my collection of steemgames, id just format C:
and they havent even started pushing DAAS (although trackers and keyloggers seem very much that to me ...)
loading times and all that, ...
a lot of people get fooled by how that desktop appears to appear so fast ... it's an illusion, the desktop is there but all your processes are still starting up, as are your startup programs, its a psy-corps trick
i dont have an ssd in that machine since its for gaming only and as about any game is just a console port it runs perfectly fine in 8GB of memory, especially if you minimize swapping at OS-level, because its really windows eating up all the resources, a fast hard drive on a gaming machine is actually completely unnecessary, so when copying files and starting up Myworld here at once, it DOES ofcourse load slower ...
see how that goes at about 1:40 ? once it runs in memory its fluid 100% ...
as for the program, its click and build , you got a few interactive objects with a few options, you got options on your npcs you got a build-from-blocks mob creator and you got (had) four classes to play i think, its not a gamedev tool really, its a toy, its CERTAINLY something you can enjoy with the kids
if kids are your thing and you dont believe videogames caused aids lol (its totally kid-rated btw and no , although i think they should pay me for the praize with a lifelong sub to every piece of software they write, i dont, but that makes it true ofcourse, as opposed to rotten tomatoes critics ... yea, if you use RT, ALWAYS go for the audience score, just ignore that critics section, that's all paid-for opinion to boost initial view rates ... people get stuck after a few episodes even if the quality is so-so ... not everyone but enough in a lot of cases, ... yea, psychology, right , INDEED PRECIOUS , 90% of business these days)

see you got signs with just text, and signs that give quests ... you got npcs you got cute little piglets and all that, its just drag and drop really, so it comes down to your imagination wether you want a flat plane full of skeletons or try to dig out a bit of a map.
Can paint the terrain, which will affect the lighting, you got wallsections, doors gates, everything like to create a kiddie game inthere
i tried to keep it linear as its without scripting so you have to finish one section before you can move on to the next, made the map into a lot of "canyons" of sorts where you're unable to scale the mountain walls so you're pretty much forced to take the quests in order.
But it's not civilization eight ofcourse, its myworld rpgcreator :) ... put in some attempts at witty or references like "the lich thing" (warcraft) and darksouls mentions or something, b/c after all thats about the only sig you're gonna get for yourself in those maps
well you start with a flat plane with nothing on it for a map so all those mountains and canyons are pretty much "hand-carved" with a "terrain brush" (you can set the size of those and go wild in 3 dimensions)
since its aimed at kids i thought it'd be wise to use the torches as a kind of "this way" markers lol instead of putting up plaques everywhere that say "this way" :p
it ofcourse starts out with a minimal number of the lowest level mobs
i tried putting the torches at about the furthest view distance i got (which is a problem because you dont know the settings on someone elses pc) so you sometimes have to turn around a bit to see where to go next

yea, thing is , contrary to popular belief these things, no pesticides and shiney actually last a lot longer than what you get from a supermarket ... what you get from there has been transported half across the planet, has been frozen, has been treated and what not while these can last more than a few weeks staying good as new if you keep em in a cool, dark place (not the fridge)

then after some walking through the maze(like) you get to the hill with the shiney part, which shows from a distance something's there, which is the first checkpoint, if your character dies it will now respawn there. and once you're UP that hill you see the first batch of skeletal mages (who were hidden behind a little ridge as you came up so you wouldnt see them if you passed by the checkpoint and ran straight through unil they flanked you from the left
creative use of mapping for lack of scripting lol
this is the base version of the map ofcourse, there's plenty more before i crashed that december (keep saying that, right, and ye, but its been such a waste of time too)
thats the first real shiney battle ... you can set quest items to drop like coins or rubys (which is like for quests that require "ten coins" or so to turn in, but you have no control over the items dropped, item level chance ofcourse increases auto with mob difficulty)
then just a final look at the editor , as you can see its pretty large but i molded it pretty rough, all expect the snowy side mountains, which is a bitmap projected to make it look like "the distance" (thats all based on a selection of setting which are used to create "the mood" of the environment
nope, does not compile at all but you can share the maps on the steam store , well not the store, the hub where steam players do their thing with custom maps and stuff
