PayPal Finance Director John Rainey said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that Bitcoin will become a popular payment option in the future.
In a part of the interview titled Crypto Money Factor, Rainey said that the company was one of the first companies to adopt Bitcoin on the Braintree platform in 2015 and added:
"Given Bitcoin's current turmoil, we do not say it's a reliable currency for transactions. Let's say you are an investor and you accept Bitcoin as a 10% profitable business payment. The next day Bitcoin drops by 15% and you're in direct spoil. "
The future of crypto money for PayPal is brilliant
Rainey said he thought it would be very likely to be popular, in the wake of the popularity of cryptographic currencies and payment methods:
"There are years before the crypto money is used as a payment method and people accept it."
The company's founding partner, Max Levchin, said in December last year that while Blockchain technology is a revolutionary Cinsten, Bitcoin's vision of the future is not yet clear.
Coinbase has included PayPal manager David Marcus in the board for the past December.
