RE: The Tentacles Of Technology: Little Is Straight Forward

in #busy5 years ago

I hope self-driving vehicles become more abundant, not mandatory though. I just want to continue driving my manual transmission while everyone else continues to use their phone in the car. When it’s mostly autonomous, there will probably be less tailgating and less red light chasing. I like to drive my vehicle, but bad/dangerous drivers make it uncomfortable. (Yes, I am biased, and from Los Angels) 😁

When using self-driving machines are deemed safer than human drivers, it will eventually become mandatory.

I think you’re correct, but lots of drivers derive their illusions of freedom, identity, and self-worth from their vehicle. Older gen drivers will not like it at first. Maybe blockchain tech and the potential to earn retirement money will help stubborn drivers transition. 😊
(Recreational vehicles will probably become more desirable.)

I feel like I’ve created a tangent from the original subject of this article. I’m still trying to think how blockchain tech could further this notion. Obviously, there could be another way to pay, but... hmm... not sure what else could be gained... vehicular database... to... uh... allow anyone to loan their vehicles. Not sure.
