Use case and even usage do not really effect price. Even a dapp with millions of active users wont move the price more than Bitcoin will.
This is rough for me because I will only be investing in coins I actually use moving forward.

Well, this can be good news too, it basically means that if Bitcoin does well it barely matters what coins you invest. On the other hand it means if Bitcoin does badly even if you have a coin with massive amount of adoption you are basically boned.
