Gratitude Day 47/62: Shadows

The little things in life are the big things. We tend to take a lot of the little things for granted. Things like saying "hello" to an old lady in the morning, things like giving a nod of appreciation to the security man at the banking hall, sometimes we even add a little smile(or a huge one) to show that we acknowledge the work that they do. Those things are important. They are as important as our shadows.

The best moments in life are not planned. Right? You just stumble into them. Like the way I stumbled unto my shadow today. This old buddy has been following me since the day I stepped into the sun and I hardly ever notice.

Today, I was having a nice time with my "significant other" in a park somewhere in Nigeria and we suddenly noticed how the lights made our shadows look beautiful.

We decided to capture this moment with our camera. It's amazing how something so simple could turn out to be so beautiful and make us so happy.

The best things in life are like a shadow, we usually don't notice them because they are always there. But sometimes we ought to take out time and look at the wonder of our shadows.

Today, I want to thank God for these little moments that make our lives really special and for shadows too. I'm grateful for things that appear like shadows, those things that are really small but they are important and they are always there. Do you have shadows?
