According to Global Trade Review reports, the international banking giant HSBC bank is close to testing Blockchain in live trading.

Global Trade Review reported that the bank could launch several pilot programs based on its existing projects to move to live Blockchain transactions. The move was announced during a special press conference earlier this week.

HSBC bank to launch pilot programs

HSBC senior innovation manager Joshua Kroeker said the program will be a program that runs for two years and tests the use of Blockchain.

Completing the process successfully, Kroeker said:

We are at the end of the process in the coming weeks and months when our customers are involved in live transactions. Technology has come a long way; we are much more comfortable in terms of security and scalability.

Kroeker stated that HSBC has entered into the process of digitizing the operations of the majority of its customers, but many have found it difficult.

This is one of the programs we will launch as a pilot, which will be exciting.

The bank is now integrating its clients into pilot programs. If Kroeker proves to be successful, he said, the projects will be fully implemented in their live environment, but this step will require both Blockchain implementation and additional work on the network.

The plan, according to the GTR, is to launch a lively Blockchain network at the beginning of 2019.
