Snake is one of the reptiles that is quite scary for some people. In fact, the reptile animals are associated with a sinister impression.
But all kinds of perception of the above does not apply to the community in Block 3 Village Kertasura, Kapetakan District, Cirebon Regency. Most of the residents in Block 3 are relying on their lives to catch snakes.

The captured snake is processed again for its skin and sold to the collectors. One entrepreneur of raw materials snake, Tosin (41) claimed since 2005 has been dabbling in the world of snake animals.
"It was just looking for alias selling snakes alive but over time many who asked and given input to open a snake skin processed business so yes I am with the family processing snake skin," he said.
Tosin admitted since childhood is familiar with various types of creeping creatures this creepy. His proximity to the snake also decreased from the father, even the talent decreased to his son.
He said the snake that is captured is a special snake that lives in the water either salty, fresh or brackish. Snakes taken are reptiles that are considered pests for farmers, farmers to farmers.
"If the snake whose habitat on land I do not take because there is a regulation, there must be a permit, besides that the arrest is limited and there should be breeding," said Tosin.
Tosin claims the snake skin processing activity is not done every time. Tosin catches snakes as the weather enters the rainy season.
He mentioned, during the rainy season, the production of snake skin can reach 5 quintals per day. Snake skin is taken directly by the collectors with prices ranging from Rp 3000 to Rp 50 thousand per skin.
