I’m back in Canada after visiting my family in Japan for a few weeks.
The visit was great except that the weather was way too hot for me even at the end of the summer.
I grew up there but it was my first visit during the summer in 15 years.
I seriously thought I was going to pass out just going for a half a block walk 😭😱🤣🤣
Well, I managed to take some photos of a butterfly I found at the side of the driveway at my parents house, so I’ll share them with you today.
一時帰国も無事済んで、なんとか通常運転に戻りつつあります。
日本は暑かったです。
帰ってすぐ急に涼しくなったと聞きましたが、それでもまだこちらより暑いんだろうなぁ〜
なんと、日本の夏は15年ぶりでした。
ちょっと散歩に出かけただけで息が苦しくて倒れるかと思いました 😭😱🤣🤣
さてさて今日は、一時帰国中に実家の庭の入り口で蝶々を見つけて写真を撮っていたので投稿します。
I don’t know what this butterfly is called.
I actually don’t remember seeing this pattern of butterflies growing up.
The butterflies I remember are the black & yellow ones, the very small light blue ones and the pale yellow/white ones around there.
Omg...I can’t even remember the name of those...haha
…と言っても、なんと言う蝶々なのか名前も知らないのですが…
というか、こんな模様の蝶々、実家周辺では見たことがないかも。
蝶々と言えば黒と黄色のアゲハチョウ、淡いブルーのシジミチョウ？ とモンシロチョウくらいです。
Anyways, I was melting in the sun taking these photos.
If anyone could tell me what kind of butterfly it is, that would be wonderful.

この蝶々の名前を知っている方がいらっしゃいましたら教えていただけると嬉しく思います。
日本の夏15年ぶり！のところに目がいってしまいました。お疲れさまでした。私は最後の日本の夏は2013年かな。もう6年も前。あの暑さと、あと最近は台風で航空機の発着が乱れたり、揺れたりするのが怖くて避けています。
蝶、昨日ちょうど植物園で見たのに写真がない。。。残念。。
そうそう、帰りの便が2日早かったら台風の被害のために空港までたどり着けなかったかもです。
大変な被害が出ていました。
今回は問題なく空港まで行けたのですが、カミナリ雲が通過するまで離陸出来なくて出発が1時間半遅れましたよ。
夏の日本は避けたいですね^^;
I am glad that you made it back home OK and that you didn't melt in Japan. LOL!
I have searched for this beautiful butterfly to tell you the name but I couldn't find it. Maybe it is a rare one. Thanks for using #butte4rflyday tag @djynn! : )
