Basic Guide on How to Buy Bitcoin Cash

With the cancellation of Segwit2X hard fork, many Bitcoin users who are big supporters of bigger blocks are now turning to Bitcoin Cash. This is driving up the price of Bitcoin Cash and many crypto investors are eager to buy some Bitcoin Cash.

Due to the fact that Bitcoin Cash was only just released a few months ago, at the moment, currently, there is no exchange that sell Bitcoin Cash directly for fiat currency.

However, you can still buy Bitcoin Cash via the following method.

Step 1: Download Exodus Wallet

First, before you buy any Bitcoin Cash, you will need to download a wallet that supports Bitcoin Cash to store them.

Step 2: Setup an account with Coinbase

Coinbase is a popular exchange which allows anyone to buy cryptocurrency with credit cards. You can buy Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin via Coinbase.

Proceed to sign up for an account with Coinbase. You will need to upload some documents for verification purposes, this complete may take a few days to complete.

Step 3: Purchase Ethereum

Once your account has been verified, you will be able to purchase cryptocurrency using your credit card. We recommend that you buy Ethereum as the gateway currency as the fees are the lowest and it's the least volatile in price.

Step 4: Use Changelly to Convert Ethereum to Bitcoin Cash

Now, proceed to Changelly to convert your newly purchased Ethereum into Bitcoin Cash.

Have your Exodus and Coinbase wallets ready. Check the rates to make sure it's about right before you do the conversion. Sometimes, due to high demands, the rates can fluctuate quite wildly.

Once you are at Changelly, just follow the instructions given and you should be good. The exchange process shouldn't take too long.

Shapeshift, the alternative to Changelly

If you do not wish to use Changelly, you can also transfer your Ethereum from Coinbase to Exodus and use the integrated Shapeshift.io exchange built inside that wallet. Just hit the Exchange function within Exodus and Select to Exchange from Ethereum to Bitcoin Cash.
