Concrete Barrier Wall • BW Photo Contest • Minimalism
I photographed this barrier wall yesterday at a rocky beach on New York Bay. The hole in the barrier is presumably there for lifting and moving the heavy piece of concrete. The hole frames a glimpse of some pebbles on the beach. The choice to focus on the concrete surface and not the pebbles was due to the wonderful texture of the concrete which fills the frame. A purely minimalistic choice!
This is my 2nd entry for bwphotocontest - minimalism. Thank you @daveks for creating the contest and @prakashghai for judging.
The photograph was shot with my iPhone 6S Plus.

That's a very interesting shot. It's like one of those images where you can see things two ways. You can see that it's a hole with a back to it, but then you kind of see the back floating towards you! Good job!
Thank you! I like your interpretation... I think you should be the judge... my other entry (eiffel tower chair) won an honorable mention in this photo contest.
Congratulations! I'll have to look at that one too.
